IndiSoft, a Maryland-based technology development firm that focuses on systems for the default services industry, announced Tuesday that Arvind G. Chitale has joined the company’s advisory board.

Chitale, CFO of Washington, D.C.- based Rodman’s Discount Stores, will advise IndiSoft in business and financial matters.

“We are thrilled that Arvind has agreed to offer IndiSoft his unique business perspective, which is based on years of experience,” said Sanjeev Dahiwadkar, CEO and president of IndiSoft.

Dahiwadkar added, “Having an individual with Arvind’s level of experience and knowledge will help us continue our efforts to manage our growth closely and further position IndiSoft for increased demand of our technology.”

Chitale has spent 19 years as CFO with Rodman’s and previously he was director of corporate planning for Anta Corp. and manager of business and financial analysis for Diamond Shamrock Corp. in Cleveland.

“This is an opportune time for companies such as IndiSoft to firmly establish themselves in the financial industry,” Chitale said. “As the economy readjusts itself, more companies need to consider how to maximize their current position in the market and what internal adjustments they may need to make to be successful years from now.”

Some of Chitale’s past experience includes working with Boeing Company and Satellite Computer Service Co. in Philadelphia. Chitale has a master’s degree in industrial management from Oklahoma State University and an MBA in finance and management from Temple University. He is a CPA with active status in Maryland.
